The Cavaliers had no comment, and Izzo could not be reached, according to the AP. The News-Herald of northern Ohio said the Cavs have centered their search on the long-time Spartans coach and already made an offer.

Tom OWNS MSU and State of Michigan Basketball. Many other college coaches have gone to the pros only to come back. They found they were coaches not managers of players as in the NBA. I predict Mr. Izzo will be a Spartan a long long time. Good for MSU, not so good for Blue. He is a great BB Coach. MSU and the State of Michigan are lucky to have him. GO BLUE

this isn't the first, and it isn't the last time that the nba has came calling to EL. Tom knows how much he means to EL and spartans everywhere. He's built an amazing program, and he won't walk away. Here's to 10 more years of Izzo at MSU.
