Drum roll, please: AnnArbor.com Big Ten men's basketball awards

By Michael Rothstein

The Big Ten awards will be announced later today, and one thing is certain: Ohio State’s Evan Turner will be the Player of the Year.

But what about the other awards?

AnnArbor.com polled 11 sports writers covering the Big Ten spanning nine different teams to get a feel for what the Big Ten ballots might look like. We also added in some awards of our own.

Turner received all 11 votes for Player of the Year and was the only unanimous selection to the AnnArbor.com All-Big Ten team.

The voting for every other individual award was close, including the league’s most overrated player, which saw a tie between Michigan junior guard Manny Harris and Michigan State senior forward Raymar Morgan.

The All-Big Ten team includes six players due to a tie between Purdue’s E’Twaun Moore and Penn State’s Talor Battle. The All-Big Ten rookie team has seven players on it because of a three-way tie between Purdue’s Kelsey Barlow, Illinois’ Brandon Paul and Iowa’s Eric May.
