1997 Michigan football national championship ring stolen from vehicle
Brandon Kornblue, a kicker and punter on the 1997 Michigan football team, had his national championship ring from that season stolen from his car on Monday.
The Fort Myers (Fla.) News-Press reports that police were called to a residence in Bonita Springs, Fla., where they learned the ring and $200 were taken from Kornblue's vehicle. The ring is valued at $2,000.
Kornblue runs Kornblue Kicking, offering weekend clinics and private lessons for kickers, punters and long snappers year-round in southern Florida. He also takes his camps on the road, including one in Ann Arbor on June 11-12.
