A look at Michigan football team's arrival in New Orleans and first bowl practice

The Michigan football team walked off the plane in Louisiana to the sound of New Orleans-style music, and they were impressed.

"First of all, it’s quite the wake up call," senior Mike Martin said. "I was completely in a deep sleep on the plane, and I get off and you got warm weather and music playing. It’s warm welcome and an honor to be here, and this team is very excited to play this football game."

Michigan, which worked for an hour Wednesday at Tulane University, will face Virginia Tech on Tuesday (8:30 p.m., ESPN) in the Sugar Bowl. For more on the Wolverines' first day of the bowl trip, check out the video from MGoBlue.com:
