Big Ten Football Championship Game will be televised on FOX Sports

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The first five years of the Big Ten Conference Football Championship Games will be televised on FOX Sports, conference officials announced Wednesday.

The Big Ten, which will expand to 12 teams next season with the addition of Nebraska, announced earlier this year that its inaugural conference championship game will be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The winner of the championship game will play in either the Rose Bowl or a Bowl Championship Series game.

Their "News" channel is known more for inaccurate right-wing extremism rather than straightforward balanced presentation of the news. Is their Sports coverage similar? I would be happier if it were on any other network.

The network will promote the Big Ten Football Championship Game as one of the premium sporting events in the country on all of its platforms, including FOXSports.com, FOX Sports Radio and during its coverage of major fall sports events, including the National Football League and Major League Baseball postseason.

NNNNNNnnoooOOooOOOO! Ugh. Fox's coverage of college football BLOWS. Hard. This really, really sucks. I would love to put the TV on mute, but then you can't hear penalties and reviews, plus various statistics. Listening to radio instead is a nice remedy except that it's 10 seconds ahead of the television. P.S. Aarox, this affects us because we all want to watch the game. You know, because we're football fans.... right?

Ride Jude,I believe Fox owns 49% of the Big Ten Network but i'm not sure. You are right they do need do somthing about the amateurish on air personal, but if you put tv on mute the rest seems ok.

Fox's college football coverage has always seemed amateurish. I'm thrilled with the success of the Big Ten Network (which is, I believe, managed by Fox) and all the clout it has brought the Big Ten, but their coverage doesn't measure up to ABC/ESPNs. Here's hoping they up their game before the Big Ten Championship Game.
