Denard Robinson and Taylor Lewan received official recognition from the Big Ten last week as "Players to Watch."

On Monday, the Michigan football quarterback and offensive tackle received more preseason attention, this time from CBSsports.com.

CBS placed both Robinson and Lewan on its first team "All-Big Ten" squad, and had a spot for both on its second team "All-America" list.

"Of returning starters at the quarterback position in the Big Ten, Robinson had the highest pass efficiency in 2011 at 139.7, and he still has those legs of his," CBS wrote. "Denard has already helped lead Michigan to BCS glory, and now he'd like a Big Ten title and maybe even a Heisman Trophy before he leaves Ann Arbor.

"(Lewan is the) best lineman on one of the conference's best offensive lines, and if his ability on the football field isn't enough to put him on this team, then surely the fact he gets around campus on a tandem bicycle is."

Robinson took All-Big Ten honors over the likes of Braxton Miller, Taylor Martinez and Nathan Scheelhaase. Lewan was named to the list, alongside Wisconsin's Ricky Wagner, over Ohio State's Jack Mewhort, Michigan State's Fou Fonoti, Michigan State's Dan France and Northwestern's Patrick Ward.

Calm down. It's just something to stir up conversation in the off-season. Don't be ridiculous.

Now if they'll just pick the Big 10 an National champs, I won't have to wait until January.

Sheesh, how do they know? Nobody's played a snap yet. We're 33 days away from Mighigan's opener and 31 days from the first Thursday night game. My guess is we'll have a real good idea sometime in November.
