What unbeaten college football outside of the Associated Press top 10 teams is the best? The first two teams ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer mentions are Michigan and Michigan State.

U-M is at best, a Top 25 team, maybe. And that is because of one player and he cannot play defense, where they need help. MSU is firmly top 25...solid all around - not great! undefeated does not mean anything when you have yet to play anyone... MSU made it to No. 12 in 2008 before being exposed...once they played top teams they were exposed a a good, not great team! Other Big Ten Realities Iowa - top 25 only Wisconsin - maybe top 25 Penn State - out Northwestern - not Indiana - not Ohio State - Top 5 That may read harsh but its still pretty good; all those teams near top 25 when there are more than 100 teams playing
