Details, details, details: Moving Michigan football gear to Sugar Bowl is a major operation

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Even after 35 bowl games, there are unexpected hurdles for longtime Michigan equipment manager Jon Falk.

Falk and his team are already in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl, and they found Monday that their 53-foot tractor trailer couldn't get to the team hotel downtown. So his team had to transport gear to a 26-foot truck from Tulane University and make multiple trips.

"It's a puzzle," Falk said in a video for MGoVideo. "And if you miss one piece of the puzzle, you have not helped Michigan football, you haven't helped Brady Hoke. And that's what I'm trying to do, make sure everything runs smooth for the players, for Coach Hoke and the University of Michigan."

For a look at the highly organized and detailed operation, check out the complete video below.
