Ex-Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier visits San Jose State

By AnnArbor.com Staff

San Jose State is the latest potential landing spot for former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier.

The San Jose Mercury News said Forcier confirmed a visit Monday by a text message, and The Associated Press reported that he may commit to the university this week. Forcier, who played two seasons at Michigan, grew up in San Diego. He was declared academically ineligible before Michigan played in the Gator Bowl in January and never returned to the team.

Forcier has been linked to Miami (Fla.) and Hawaii, but remains without a school. Hawaii declined interest after "Forcier did not project to meet the requirements to join the Warriors for UH's fall semester," the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported earlier this month.

After starting all 12 games as a freshman at Michigan in 2009, Forcier was a backup to Denard Robinson in 2010, passing for 597 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions.

Please explain the love affair with Forcier? Again, forget about this guy and move on. He is gone, done, over and out. It would be wonderful if aa.com spent as much time reporting on the student athletes that are here and representing the UM.

Ron English could use him and then he would be close enough to continue dating Miss Michigan.

"The Associated Press reported that he may commit to the university this week." Did anyone ask San Jose State if they even wanted him?

And in other breaking news, former Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez visited CVS pharmacy to pick up a few bottles of Arnold Palmer Iced Tea Lemonade... He was escorted from the store before he could pay, and he was overheard complaining that he nearly had the purchase completed if only management had given him time.... :)
