Here's why the University of Nebraska and Oakland Raiders are alike
The upcoming college football season has plenty of great, heart-warming storylines. Here's one thing it's lacking. A good villain.
The University of Nebraska could earn the title, writes Dave Curtis at SportingNews.com.
Nobody in the Big 12 wants to see the Cornhuskers depart with a league title after their final season in the conference before they begin Big Ten play.
"I'm pretty sure we're going to hear a lot more different things," Nebraska receiver Niles Paul told Curtis. "It should be interesting."

michboy40 Nebraska left their conference because of the lack of respect and equal fair treatment that they weren't getting....The large pices of the pie were being doled out to the 2 Texas schools and Oklahoma. The Big 12 didn't wzant to centrally locate the championship game nor would they rotate sites....It left a bad taste in the mouth of a few schools not just Nebraska. Why do you think Missouri was dumb founded when they didn't get the invitation....They were ready to bolt like Nebraska. Take a look at what it took to keep what's left of the big 12 in tact and who it favors....That speaks volumes as to who that league is set up to favor finacially.

Nebraska is going to regret coming to the Big Ten. They did this under the assumption that the Big Twelve was going to dissolve. Now the Big Twelve is close to a TV deal, and Nebraska will be out of place with no rivalries...ouch. Plus we know how it worked out for Penn State.

There are some folks on this blog that have hopeless points of view I hope there lives are not the same. I like all the schools in the big 10 without them we would not have such an awesome quality league and that goes for Ohio State I just happen to have been born in Ann Arbor so they are my team. A hopeless point of view is not a healthy one or good for the big 10 and fans, lets try to focus on a more constructive criticism about what we like and don't like there is enough despair in this country.

U of M and oakland have something in common since RR has arrived losses, last place and no hope under the current leadership. What's it been since a win against OSU 6 or 7 years Terry?

Let the Nebraska Cornhuskers win one last title...because next year they will be runners-up behind Michigan for a long, long forever and then some time...but still well ahead of the ohio state buckeyes...

Well i know the players at OHIO just recently got their Big 10 rings, and i would Ass U Me the rest of the conferences are on similar schedules, so i wonder if Nebraska wins the Big 12 how long it will take to get their trophy and rings. On a side note, has anyone seen the facebook Profile picture of Jimmy (Jim) Cordle? He played on the O line of Ohio State and hes got 5 HUGE diamond and ruby encrusted Big 10 rings on. its like sickening to see that much hardware on one mans hand.
