Pete Bigelow hands out game balls after Iowa's 38-28 win over Michigan on Saturday, with four being the best:
DERRELL JOHNSON-KOULIANOS (3 1/2): Every time the Hawkeyes needed a big play, they turned to the big-play receiver. He haunted the Wolverines secondary. He only caught four passes for 70 yards, but three of them went for key touchdowns.
KARL KLUG (3): Iowa’s defensive tackle gave the Wolverines offensive line a lot of problems, especially after David Molk left with an ankle injury. The Sporting News’ all-Big Ten player had eight tackles, a forced fumble and a sack Saturday.
TATE FORCIER (3): By no means was Forcier perfect Saturday, throwing two second-half interceptions, but the Michigan quarterback energized the Wolveirnes offense in a relief role. He threw for 239 yards in the second half alone, and directed three fourth-quarter scoring drives.
