Jen, if the comments are not adhering to "that" principle then they should be deleted.

All southern schools, dearest Lorraine. But go ahead. Throw Hutch under the bus the same way you did and continue to do Lloyd. They've won the same number of national championships. Must be something wrong with both of 'em. Does Hutch have a country club, too? Has she "retired" before stepping down? Or maybe Bo has risen from the dead to recommend her replacement, too? Did he recommend that the WCiMFH take her job? Just wonderin'. Good Night and Good Luck

Quote is EXACTLY, word-for-word, what you wrote. Not makin' it up. The link will take you there, as well as anyone who bothers to check. And every denial . . . well . . . that conclusion will get censored. "Or are the rumors true that Bo himself, and Don Nehlen both supported Rodriguez for the new HC job, when LC left?" Yup. You wrote it. That's one heck of a rumor given that Bo had been dead for a year. But keep on diggin' Lorraine. And in this discussion you've gone from: "Don't know much about Hutch" to: "And I definitely 'undersrtand the game'. My comments stand. Hutch HAS a great W-L record, (she's a great 'program' coach), but she has been unable to coach a favored team, with excellent pitching, to the wins, when it counts, which suggests that she is not a particularly strong bench coach. " To: "I think I can pin-point why Hutch's teams have under-achieved over the past six years...but that's another whole conversation" Can't you keep your stories straight, Lorraine? Good Night and Good Luck

ERM, that is YOUR comment and construction, NOT mine. I have noted that Bo supported RR, (while at WVU), but not specifically for the UM job. You have been the one, that has twisted this into somthing other than it was. Purposely created a 'strawman', that didn't exist, to mask your hatred and obsession with RR. Very strange! But I'll stop there, or the administrators will cut this post. Just curious, why your posts always seem to be denigrating others. They never seem to get much beyond that. I'll continue to call you on it, because your hatred is clearly misplaced. The 'problems' in the program, began with Carr, LONG before RR ever arrived in AA...and you know it. And sadly, even after RR got here, Carr worked behind the scenes to undermine the new coach....and you know it! your posts just serve to distract posters, and mask the truth.

Bo supported the hiring of the WCiMFH when Lloyd left. Conclusion 1: Bo rose from the dead. Conclusion 2: You were makin' it up. Your Choice. Kinda like the above--you don't know much about Hutch but you're a softball guru who comes to A2 from wherever to see the team play, Which is it, dearest Lorraine? Good Night and Good Luck

Nope, not throwing anybody under the bus. That's YOUR comment , not mine. Just like I supposedly 'brought Bo back from the grave'. Again, that's YOUR comment, not mine! Those softball schools you referred to, are NOT in the 'balance of power', and are certainly NOT from the PAC10! (This is just another case of you shooting your mouth off, when you don't know anything about the sport.) In each case I cited, UM should have won. The regionals and Supers, are mere 'tuneups' for the big dance, in OKC! By the way, I think I can pin-point why Hutch's teams have under-achieved over the past six years...but that's another whole conversation...and definitely one that you could n not comprehend. (It's 'inside softball' stuff.) I don't think you actually do follow fastpitch softball, and you don't have a clue about it at all! It's obvious that you just want to 'counter' any posts that I make.

BTW, sweetest Lorraine, I guess you're ready to throw Red Berenson under the bus, too? Does the WCiMFH know anything about hockey? Who does Bo recommend take his place? Good Night and Good Luck

ERM Ghost...commnet.....'does not understand where the balance of power is in NCAA softball.' Oh really, well let's just take a look back, shall we? 2006 UM lost to Tenna 2 out of 3 games. 2007 UM lost to Baylor 2 out of 3 games. 2008 UM lost to Va Tech 2 out fo 3 games. 2009 UM did beat Baylor, but lost 2 of 3 games at OKC, to Florida, and Ga. 2010 UM lost 2 straight to Tenna 2011 UM lost 2 straight to Kentucky ( in the regionals!) None of these teams was from the PAC10. And all have come from relatively, 'new' programs. If we checked, we might even find, that UM was the favorite in virtually every contest. I think I know where the 'balance of power' is. And I definitely 'undersrtand the game'. My comments stand. Hutch HAS a great W-L record, (she's a great 'program' coach), but she has been unable to coach a favored team, with excellent pitching, to the wins, when it counts, which suggests that she is not a particularly strong bench coach. There IS a world of difference between the two. FWIW, I have umpired HS and tournament fastpitch in Ohio since 1996, and from '90 to 2000, coached Ohio D1 HS softball. Since 2005, I have blocked out HS assignments, and drive to AA to follow, ( and support), the Wolves, so I have see directly, what is happening here, since '05.

Lorraine, You wrote: "Don't know much about Hutch, other than her record." Then you wrote: "Since 2005, I have blocked out HS assignments, and drive to AA to follow, ( and support), the Wolves, so I have see directly, what is happening here, since '05." And this after you claimed to be a big time softball umpire. So, which is it. Do you not know much about Hutch, or are you a softball guru who comes to A2 to watch her teams play. Can't be both. Good Night and Good Luck

How on earth did it take this long to induct Dick LeBeau?

Excellent Question!! One of the all time greats at safety--on a team of defensive monsters!! Not to mention his coaching career afterwards. Good Night and Good Luck

"She has a great overall W-L record, but just terrible in the super-regionals." The above could be said only by someone who does not understand where the balance of power is in NCAA softball. Michigan is the only team from east of the Mississippi River ever to win the NCAA Div I softball title. Of the 24 of the 30 teams who have won the title are from the PAC 10. As is the case with baseball, softball teams from the South and West have an advantage over teams from the North and East due to the fact that they can get outside and practice earlier. Hutch has done a great job with the women's softball team. She is very deserving of this honor. That Lloyd is deserving goes without saying @dagget: eight times, eh. You, of course tell us when it happened, with whom, and cite your source? Of course you can!! Good Night and Good Luck

I have no problem with LC the coach but what he has done since leaving M to hurt the football program, kids and RR is not Hall of Fame worthy. On eight occassions he rejected RR when requested to speak with kids he recruited. LC is not the gentlemen his public personna is made out to be. Real M men do not take off years---LC took off three. He is not worthy of this award

Don't know much about Hutch, other than her record. She has a great overall W-L record, but just terrible in the super-regionals. UM has only been back to OKC once since '05!

What a great class of hall of famers. Bettis always scared me when we played him (though I still think he should have come to Michigan). Hutch is such a hall of fame coach and person (at least in the media). Glad to see her get the recognition she deserves.
