I still wonder why UM needs its own jet, even if this jet in the article belongs to a "private individual." Tell me one good reason for a "public" university to own and maintain a Leer jet, when the campus is 45 minutes or less from a major international airport. (Maybe in the event of a terrorist attack on A2, they need the Leer to fly Mary Sue to a bunker, just in case...)

I think Pryor has a plane so he can go home in Penn. He is all done with the cars.

I don't think one coach has contacted him, I wouldn't be suprised that he's making calls all over the country and is either getting hung up on or getting the old leave a message and we might call you back but we doubt it. Your fan base on all of these posts with their negative comments would even scare Bo away now.

Superbuck...do you have first hand KNOWLEDGE as to how many coaches have contacted DB about the UM job?

This "plane" and all its falderal flew round trip to BR empty, while at the same time, an anonymous person with a coach ticket boarded a plane from SAN heading to DTW. Well played.

The mystery continues. No mystery involved. Seems clear to me.

you'll have to pay him 5 mil a year plus buy out his contract. You wan't a real coach like Miles it will cost you. Get Hoke and you might as well have kept RR If you haven't noticed they aren't lining up to coach Mich. They know its going to take 3-5 years to build any kind of program and you people can't be patient enough to see that. So continue to be losers. GO BUCKS

@The OSU: Coming to Michigan from LSU might be a lateral move from our perspective but maybe not for Les Miles. Okay, he might not get a big pay raise or anything like that, but he will be coaching the program where he once played AND coached which to him might be a promotion in a way. I'm pretty sure Michigan is his dream job and i think that as long as we can match his current salary (which we can), i think it would be a good choice for him to make. If he successfully rebuilt the program at Michigan and brought us back to being where we once were, he would be a hero leaving behind a legacy of his own. That opportunity alone is pretty special and something im sure he is considering. And hopefully when we get him, we'll beat OSU again just like he did in 2007!

Joe: "Stealing another team's head coach? Was JT unemployed when OSU hired him? How about Cooper, or Bruce, or Woody? Were they all sitting in a soup kitchen waiting for THE CALL???" As a blue fan, you might find subtlety difficult so let me explain. "Little Sisters of the Poor" schools like Youngstown State (Tressel) and Miami (Woody & Bo) hire coaches knowing full well their programs are stepping stones to greater job opportunities. Everyone accepts this fact. Legacy programslike LSU, tOSU (and yes, UM)don't expect other schools to come in an raid their head coaches for a lateral move. For Miles, going from a Cotton Bowl winning top 10 LSU program to a rebuilding program at UM, is a lateral move at best. It certainly is NOT a promotion. At tOSU, we have always chosen coaches that are moving up, not laterally.

it seems very silly that a process cloaked in secrecy and back room discussions would be revealed due to a blue and yellow plane landing next door to a possible hc. the only thing more ridiculous than DB's process to find a new hc, will be the reaction of the fans when an unheralded choice steps forward to take the job. how many years until you run him out of town? you must accept that the job is no longer elite, and the country is laughing at you. btw, its 23 days until signing day and you still don't have a coach. hoke is a joke!

@ The OSU, You should read the entire story including the video before making false allegations. At the same time, why can't UofM show up in a plane with no logo so as to not draw attention to the process? The plane was seen a few days ago before the LSU athletic director had a clue. Didn't anyone learn from the whole Toledo airport 'throw down' last time around with RR? Will DB have the Domino's logo on his plane when he shows up in Texas? Or will it be the old NOID character from the 80's.

@ OSU, The plane belongs to a private individual not the University, although the University also owns a plane. @The OSU, The paint scheme has a lot more to it than simple design.

1) What's the UM jet doing in Baton Rouge? Stealing another team's head coach? 2) Why does UM have a private jet in these times? Ann Arbor is convenient to Detroit. Is DR too good to fly commercial? If UM does need a jet (and I seriously doubt they REALLY do), why not partial ownership (eg NetJets)? I know some other Big Ten universities (egPurdue) have private jets but (a) they are in small towns not close to major airline hubs AND (b) the jets are used in their academic "aviation" major programs. Is it little wonder that UM tuition is so high and its officers think UM is soooo elite? 3) The jet's paint scheme is an adaption of your FB helmets. You might think it's cool. Most everyone else thinks it's ugly.

Not a good sign IMO. I hope Miles stays at LSU. We don't need his unstable personality and questionable recruiting ethics at Michigan. I'd vote for anyone but him at this point. But, we better find someone this week before the recruiting season becomes a total loss. As it is, we've already lost at least 3 very good prospects who otherwise were leaning towards U-M.
