- Denard takes 45% of the snaps in the shotgun, 45% under center, and the remaining 10% as the center. Just for fun.
- Mike Hart runs onto the field in green and white, but it's a tear-away and he does just that at the 50, then runs and slaps the "Go Blue" banner. 114,000 fans go nuts and are all simultaneously deafened when they make more noise than a concert by The Who.
- Roundtree has a breakout game with 27 catches for 650 yards. He finally reveals his 96" vertical jump.
- Herron realized he has to make up for missing a game to cement his Heisman candidacy, so he scores four defensive TDs and kicks the first ever defensive field goal. He is promoted to starting field goal kicker.
- Craig Roh finally shows up and he and Mike Martin put such a rush on that the rest of the defensive line takes turns setting up tea parties while they are on the field.
- Eastern gets beat back so hard in the first half that they come out for the third quarter wearing their old EMU Hurons uniforms.
- At the start of the third quarter, Ron English asks to be traded back to his real team.
- Steve Everitt is on the sidelines again. This time his t-shirt says, "No, I am not 'The Dude'".
- Final score: Michigan 94, EMU 1.
- Hoke sums up the game: "We have a lot to work on."
- The NCAA calls a week later and nullifies all the game stats except the final result. When asked why they quote Rule 113, Section BBBcc, chapter MCXXII, paragraph 18, sentence 47: "Because".
