The Michigan football team will play a night game against Penn State this fall for the second time in five years.

The Wolverines' Oct. 30 game at Penn State will kick off at 8 p.m., ESPN and the Big Ten announced Wednesday. The game will be broadcast by either ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC.

Ohio State also plays at Minnesota that night.

Michigan beat Penn State under the lights, 17-10, the last time the two teams met in primetime in 2006. Penn State has won the last two games in the series.

The Wolverines lost their only night game last year at Iowa, 30-28.

In a release, Michigan said it will play just one primetime game this fall.

3-3-5 when multiplied together equal the number of rushing touchdowns scored by the opposition.

Jaxon5, you need to understand how the 3-3-5 works. It gives multiple looks. They are not just going to run the 3-3-5 day and night, they are just adding it to there package to match different offensive looks, it's a very smart move. They will be able to stop the run no problem.

'were gonna see history' at the Big House is correct, but with Michigan Football, isn't it always some part of history. To add to the story, the Wolverines actually played in the very first college football night game in history in 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but it was a Marquette team under candles to light the stadium. Wait... what... okay kidding about the candles, but true story about the game.

@ True2Blue76. Fact, Michigan has played 44 night games in it's 131 history, but none at the Big house (1927 built).... Notre Dame will be the first... we're gonna see history!

Penn State huh, didn't we own them for like 9-10 straight years, then the won a couple? My little brother beats me up a couple times every 12 years - but know this, I can let a couple slip by - but at night with my night goggles, I'm gonna kick the psu out of him. penn state - an night..... Michigan, says they won't put up a fight.

Nite game huh, well I see it this way, let's see where are we on the schedule ah hmm, oh yea spring practice and Penn State is oh yea, spring practice well hell ya, let's go ahead and predict the national championship game and yea let's predict the World Series and Super Bowl gees boys and girls get a life its April 2010. My experience with college ball since the early 50's is don't even try to predict cause at this point there is no point. I'll tell ya what, go to Vegas and start making predictions and they'll tell ya to take a hike cause it ain't gonna happen this time of year. Evan Royster could stub a toe and miss the year. Write off the past two seasons why I wouldn't have missed the last two seasons for the world. I was getting bored with Michigan the last few years. Ya, we were winning and losing weirdly but we were way to predictable. We did win some good games but it was getting to be flashes and not sensational which I think that my great Michigan Wolves. deserve to be at the top with Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, USC and the rest of the big boys. To me the last 2 years are part of the process in getting there as in sometimes ya gotta crawl before ya walk and it's time these Mich. fans had a fire lit under their butts. I think that that fire was ignited with the losing and will be much louder if we show some descent stuff this year. Relax enjoy the spring it's a long, long way until the first game but when that first game comes yell louder than you ever have cause starting this year it's gonna get better and that's not a prediction it's part of the evolution of this team.

Fans only need to know two words, Evan Royster. They'll be hearing that name all game long. UM will not be able to stop Evan Royster with the 3-3-5 and PSU will win their 3rd in a row.

I look forward to the days when we can write off the past two seasons as merely an awkward transition on our way to a bigger and better program that continues to break Penn State hearts years after year.
