Michigan QB Denard Robinson to speak for Big Ten players at media days; Taylor Lewan, Jordan Kovacs also tapped
Former Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins delivered a rousing speech last year as the keynote player speaker during Big Ten media days.
Denard Robinson, you're up.
The Michigan football team's star quarterback will represent the league's players later this month during the kickoff lunchon at Big Ten media days, the conference announced in a release Wednesday. Cousins had that honor last year.
Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson will be the keynote speaker at this month's Big Ten football kickoff luncheon in Chicago.

Robinson is scheduled to speak at the luncheon Friday, July 27.
Those players are three of the Wolverines' most prominent leaders, and Kovacs and Robinson are considered strong candidates to earn a share of Michigan's captaincy.
Last year, Michigan was represented at Big Ten media days by a then-junior Robinson and seniors Mike Martin and Kevin Koger. Martin and Koger went on to be captains.
Wolverines coach Brady Hoke also will attend media days.
Robinson is a naturally inverted person, and teammates have noted his shyness reached painful levels when he was a freshman. The quarterback has bloomed in the past year, though, and has assumed a more vocal role with the team.
That will be put to the test in Chicago, where he will try to live up to a lofty precedent set by Cousins.

Mike Wallace has a better chance of leading UM to a victory vs. MSU this year than Denard does. Where's the threat?

Glad to see Denard up there. I'm surprised Shane Morris isn't the teams sole representative.

Denard is naturally introverted, though at times on the field he's been inverted.

That's a big word for you.....congratulations. But I don't recall him being inverted at any point and time.....that blur you see running through the defenses may be what you're thinking of.
