By Michael Rothstein

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson had 191 yards rushing, 190 yards passing and accounted for all four of Michigan's touchdowns -- three rushing and one passing.

Very well said WPM. I still like Rich Rod and i think the offense has gotten better and it is exciting to think about what Dee Hart could come in and do in this system. I do not understand however, why he does not put both Tate and Denard in the backfield. Also, he admits to Denard being sore and not 100% so why is Tate not playing more, I thought the point of having two capable starters was for this exact reason. Harbaugh and Miles, no way. Petersen from BSU would be a good call. However, if they do make a change, the spread has to stay. I am still all in for Michigan and Rich Rod. AC, I can name at least one positive thing by the way that Rich Rod has brought to us: Brock Mealer. I can name more too, let me know.

Harbaugh.... are you serious? Great coach and a great man... but talk about a totally different direction!!! The guy uses a full back and twin TE's for pete sake. Same kind deal with Miles - only he manages the clock like a doped upo high school kid... "wait... what?" Do we really want to go back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust - er field turf. While I may not be the biggest fan of RR - I love the spread. It's a blast to watch. What we need is defense. We can score... we just can't stop anyone. Take a look at Oregon... they have been running the spread for a while... beat the snot out of Lloyd and his "best" class... with a few more years - and the reputation of a solid spread program - we could be in the NT hunt... Oregon is no fluke... and their defense presses with athletes and causes turnovers. We could close on those ranks fast with the kind of speed RR is bringing in... Dee Hart - could be our Steve Slaton/Noel Devine... I'm just saying. Be careful what you wish for.

3andOut. Harbs is not going to AA. Keep dreaming. He wants the NFL and after this off season there will be opportunities to go coach there.(Carolina and Dallas are high on him). Also, why leave the nice climate of Stanford? Why leave a program in the top ten? Why return to a program that the boosters of threw you under the bus after coming out about the educational joke the athletic program puts you through? Why go to AA when it has been made clear that the Stanford AD(who has more money at his touch than Branden does) will pay whatever it takes to keep Harbs. Try Les, or someone else, but it is a major pipedream if you think Harbs is going to AA.

You are delusional if you think any 3 of the QBs would stay if a new coach was brought in (btw-JH is NEVER coming to AA to coach-hate to burst your bubble)

Denard, Tate and Devin...Harbs would have plenty to work with for QBs and since he is an excellent recruiter, would also bring his own guys in.

Facts are facts. This team is not progressing the way it should. Changes have to be made. I realize that UM has a minimal chance to get Jim Harbaugh, but he would make a fantastic coach. He took over a Stanford program that was 1-11 in 2006 (1-11!) In his fourth year, Stanford is ranked # 10 in the AP poll (in the Pac-10 conference). He motivates his players and coaches to THEIR abilities. I do agree that Rich Rod is an excellent offensive coordinator-not a good head coach though. Anyone notice how Syracuse is doing without Greg Robinson? They're 6-2 (with Scott Shafer as their DC). I'm seeing a pattern. These players are not be coached to their abilities. Some look like this is their first year on the field EVER. I am and will always be a UM fan. Sometimes we have to "cut our losses" and end this failed experiment. UM needs a coach that that work around the player's ability, not force the players to work around the coaches. Go Blue!

Whoever hired RR should be fired. Okay, he fired. Who next in the line?

I've always been strong in my support for this team and what ever coaching staff we had at the time. There's just no improvements happening here.Same lousy defense, same stupid penalties, same old same old. I feel for DRob, Tate and all the others, hopefully they stick around but RR has had his chances. Everone is talking about Harbaugh, I'm thinking after the sanctions come down, RR will be fired and we'll end up with Les Miles,if not him, then bring back Carr!!! Until our next painful meeting..........GO BLUE!!!

This guy cannot coach period! He is surviving on the legs of an athlete with suprerior speed and that is it. Even Denard is slowing down a bit. Purdue is not a walk in the park people, because they are better than us fundamentally. (and better coached)

The offense and Denard, as usual, played well enough to win. You should be able to win scoring 31 points against most teams if you have a decent defense. As a Detroit Lions fan, I've gotten used to losing -- I don't like it but I've grown accustomed to it. I don't want to ever become accustomed to U-M having losing seasons, but that's where we're heading under Rich Rodriguez. U-M needs a good overall head coach, not just a glorified offensive coordinator with a flashy style. It's currently a style-over-substance regime in Ann Arbor, and teams that play solid Big Ten football with toughness, talent, and fundamentals (like Iowa, MSU, OSU, and Wisconsin) expose the lack of fundamentals and toughness of the current U-M defensive squad, with the exception of a few players like Mike Martin.

Defense, offense, special teams, coaching.....etc. This team just STINKS from top to bottom period. I've been watching Rich Frod team all year and the writings were on the wall. The team benefited earlier from a weaker teams with BAD DEFENSES (go back and see). The 5-0 start wasn't impressive considering the competition. Michigan could've easily been 3-2 or 2-3. Late drive against ND, Indiana,Umass. BGSU w/back up QB.....but when they faced the real music the dancing stopped. DR is an exciting player but won't last in his position. To much pounding and hits and no other PLAYMAKERS on the team. The players might be fast but lack strength and size. THIS IS THE BIG TEN AND NOT BIG EAST. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. Did anyone watch Wisky against OSU? They frustrated an overrated TP all night. Rich Frod is overpaid, overrated, stubborn, hot headed coach. Here's a questions to the M fans, can you name ONE POSITIVE INSTANCE that happened to this football team since RR arrival at Michigan campus? ooops, sorry I forgot to blame LC for all the distractions,violations,attritions......that happened to the this once storied program since Rich Rod took over.

D Rob is an incredible athlete and has personally kept Michigan from being 2-6 right now, and that is a fact. He will succeed in any offensive scheme, especially Coach Harbaugh's.

Michigan was down 18 at the half, and lost by 10. However, PSU took a knee inside the 5 with a first down at the end in which they could have extended the lead back to 17. In other words, the big "comeback" didn't really amount to much...again.
