'Tate close his eyes and chuck the ball up...', wow maybe he is much better that we originally thought, even some of our non-fans can see this... I did not see his eyes close, as I was unfortunately not on the field... yes there were interceptions in his first year but,.... touchdown pass with 12 sec's left to beat notre dame, nearly same against indiana, ties @ msu with 2 sec... man this kid, with his eyes closed, got to be Heisman talk....

If your drunk you will not be allowed inside the stadium at the Spring game or during the season.

Yes I am sure he was "listed" as 6'0" but c'mon, do you really buy into schools roster stats? Anyway I would love to see this proven fact of him throwin 80+ yards, do you have a link perhaps? Either way arm strenght is not only judged on how "far" someone can throw the ball. As for my alliegence to UM, I have been a fan for 20+ years, attended 4 yrs of undergrad and have been a season ticket holder for 6. If you want to call me out for being an OSU fan for disliking the worst QB we've had(i dont count threet nor sheridan as actual qb's) in the past 15 years then fine go ahead. If you honestly think this kid should play over gardner and robinson then I must question your allegience and intelligence my friend. That being said I think Tate did well for what he had last season and am not rooting against him. I just admit to myself that were not going to be an over.500 team with him behind center. Ryan Mallett looks pretty darn good right now too, i regress...

umich_sae_great... easy to see your not a UM fan, but an outsider... Tate was 6'-0" last May and has gained 11 pounds of muscle and is 6'-1" this spring. He was measured at throughing the ball just under 80 yard is the air - true fact. 'Close his eye's and chuck the ball', that gives your loyalty away... sorry...

I'm sorry but I felt compelled to comment here. We already know he's great? No need to improve? C'mon fellas... We're talking about a 5'10 QB with decent speed and awful arm strenght. I can't tell you how many times I saw him last season close his eyes and chuck the ball up for grabs. I hope and truly believe he's not badly injured, but if we have ANY chance of winning games next season its with him on the bench. Period. Tate not so GREAT

So thats why Denard has been pushing Tate in practice. Man, he must be good he beat out the one -legged qb for the starting job.

I say if there is any doubt let him sit. We already know he's great. Theres no need to prove it. You never know what can happen. Dont take chances for nothing. The fans can wait. I have to because the military has me in North Carolina. At least most of you are in MI and you get to see the game. Cant wait for the 25th of Sep, its going to be my first game at Michigan Stadium. (left MI when I was 3 but my dad kept me straight) we will smash Bowling Green it will be a good b-day present. Michigan has only lost once in the last 10 years on the Saturday closest to the 27. Speaking of birthdays my youngest son turns 1 today the 15th thats him in the pic he'll be sportin his lil Braylon jersey...Yeah I'm raisin him right.

This is correct... the story is a slight sprain was noticed after Tuesdays full workout that Tate completed, as several media members were allowed to watch... he will be at practice Thursday, what he does of course, will be up to the trainers and RichRod... a slight sprain treated right away can go away - how ever, a more direct sprain with the same amount of pain should require RICE, i.e - rest, ice, compression and elevation (of foot)... let's hope.....

I've been looking around and ESPN's Adam Rittenburg reports, "Forcier sustained a slight ankle sprain and is expected to practice Thursday.

This has got to be just bumps, bruises and soreness. There is no way that Rich Rod and the trainers are going to let anything happen to Tate the Great! Unfortunatly there are too many Rich Rod haters and if something happens to any of Michigan's offensive center pieces BOOM! Rich Rod gets fired and there go all of the future Big Ten championships and more importantly all those buckeyes get to keep their tears.

Just an excuse to red shirt him so that the real starting QB next year, one David Cone get the start.

Stunner... just got home from work, jumped on the UM FB page.. I'm just stunned... this could be relatively minor hopefully... yet, I don't want to think about.... used all my resources online, on phone - no one knows anything right now... love it to be Tate playing with the paparazzi that follows him everywhere, wouldn't that be a hoot... let's hope for this young kid, who is one heck of a man! Ok Terry Star21, with Theo212's arm we might have a good shot at a barbeque scrimmage, but really, we probably can't find uniforms big enough to fit us guys to take the field - har, har.

As I mentioned yesterday, this is the danger of putting every job up for grabs, you have more chance of injuries during practice. W/as little experience (and maybe talent) as we have, we really can't afford not to, though. Everyone needs to show their best or they sit and if you can't play because you're injured, welcome to Wally Pipp's world. Still, I hope Tate heals quick because I don't think we have a prayer w/o him.

I wish Tate the best. Its tough to be hurt when there is football to be played! Luckily you don't have to be running around to get better a your position. There's always the playbook and films to study. Get well soon!!!

Even if it's serious it is not likely to feep him out of fall ball.

Although I am hoping this is just precautionary, soreness, etc., it answers the question why we have 3 quality, improving and up and coming quarterbacks - the only college in America with that luxury. However, side point is good to see Tate (whom was on the cover of Sports Illustrated) in his second year garnering press for every move he makes - look for this story in every news release in America, and be sue to look for the idiots jumping at a chance to degrade this fantastic person. Theo212 is already warming up in the back yard getting ready to come in... I am happy to report his arm looks good, he rifled a pass 90 yards in the air and almost took my head off. Dave Birkett - keep us informed, we're saying and having good thoughts for Tate.

That's not good, but may not be as serious as it appears. Forcier is probably going to continue to be susceptible to injuries due to his smaller size - unless he can build up some more strength and bulk. All the more reason that Robinson and Gardner get lots of reps.

Wouldn't surprise me. I thnk the story should probably read "Tate Forcier injuries foot on way to class." Brittle bones that one.
