More from Calvin Magee's press conference Thursday
Offensive coordinator Calvin Magee said South Florida contacted him about its vacant head-coaching job in the offseason, not the other way around. Magee said Thursday, according to MGoBlog.com, that he's still got a lot he wants to accomplish in Ann Arbor.
Here's the link to that tidbit and plenty more from Magee's Thursday press conference, courtesy of mgoblog.com.
AnnArbor.com also had plenty of coverage from the day, and you can find links to video of Magee discussing the wide receivers, as well as Dave Birkett's story on the growth of the Michigan offense.

Give credit for coach Magee in heading off the rumors before it makes more disruptive headlines for the Michigan family, lord knows we've seen too much. I believe that yes, this happens in all college sports and most of it is not news worthy. However, when from Michigan, look for negative press in the freep, rivals, etc. Congratulations to coach Magee and the annarbor.com sports for bringing this out, and hopefully this is the end.

I think Calvin Magee is doing a great job with the offense, and as many know UM Football will be improving with time and experience, just not fast enough for the UM unfaithful. It's not surprising Magee was contacted and I praise him for stepping up and telling the facts. It might not be that much surprising that it happens with our coaches from time to time, I want to believe our coaches/athletic department show respect by not making it public.

Why am I not surprised, most colleges would love to have our entire staff - most of those communications don't make it to print, unless your on the inside and know. The need for our coaches by other college football programs is intensifying as the season nears - much like the Warren Buffet's of the stock markets, whom seem to have that inner knowledge of when the stocks are going to boom. UM FB Coaches - in high demand...... UM FB Coaches - staying put

"he's still got a lot he wants to accomplish in Ann Arbor" like a winning season?
