New England Patriots interested in Michigan's Zoltan Mesko

Zoltan Mesko, who finished his career as a punter at Michigan averaging 44 yards a kick as a senior, had dinner recently with New England Patriots special teams coach Scott O'Brien, the Boston Herald reports.
Patriots beat writer Karen Guregian thinks the Patriots would be smart to do the unusual and draft a punter like Mesko.
Guregian on Mesko:
There is definitely interest on the part of the Pats. And why not? The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Mesko was one of the best punters in the country, averaging 44 yards for his senior season. Mesko is also a pretty smart kid. Next week, while the first days of the draft play out, he’ll be finishing off his masters degree. While his undergraduate degree was in financial marketing, the masters will be for sports management.

Great for Zolton... he's coming back for the spring Alumni game Saturday morning @ 10:00 a.m.... one last chance to see him in the Big House. What a great Roster for the Alum Game, lot of support for Coach Rodriguez - so fine.

Mesko would be a very good pick for any NFL team. As good as he was last year, I think he can become an even better punter in the pros. The Patriots have been enamored of Michigan players for years. Ty Law and Tom Brady must have gotten them hooked! Good luck to Zoltan! I hope his successor, Will Hagerup does as well.

Good, I like the Pat's and Tom Brady in fact they are the reason I watch Pro football. Zoltan Mesko might have a nice career with the Pat's if he excells like that other guy what's his name??????
