Quick, close your eyes and think about the Michigan-Ohio State football rivalry. What's the first image that comes to mind?
For many, it's Michigan's iconic winged helmet butting against a gray Ohio State helmet covered in buckeye leaf stickers.
That image may be fading, thanks to the Nike-designed alternate uniforms worn by the Buckeyes in back-to-back years.
Last season, Ohio State came to Michigan Stadium wearing a 1954 replica uniform with a white helmet.
In Columbus on Saturday (noon, ABC), the Buckeyes will honor their World War II-bound 1942 national championship team with uniforms that include a replica U.S. flag on the jersey sleeve, a camouflage-print base layer and scarlet helmet.
