Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops 'excited' to have ex-Michigan recruit Kellen Jones on roster
One-time Michigan football recruit Kellen Jones now is on the roster at Oklahoma, The Oklahoman reported.
"We are excited to add Kellen to our program," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. "Obviously he's in a learning phase right now, but he has very good physical skill and is someone who can contribute to our program."
Jones, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker from Houston, gave a verbal commitment to the Michigan football program in January, but was never listed on the Michigan roster. "He's just not enrolled at the school," Michigan coach Brady Hoke said in July.

I really liked this kid and it's a shame he's not playing for Michigan. I have a feeling he'll be all conference or better at Oklahoma before he graduates.

I still find the whole situation really really weird. If Michigan turned this kid away, how was he able to get right in at Oklahoma? I don't buy that Hoke wouldn't take a risk on a kid and Stoops would. Did Hoke just not want him as a football player so he used the rumor as an excuse?

MichFanTex, he would have fit right in at the gangrene and white if the aggravated assault on a female is true.

"Because all guys have experienced aggrevated assualt toward a female rumors." Unfortunately in today's world, anyone idiot with an Internet connection can start a vicious rumor. It's really not that difficult. I just hope we did a little more than listening to the hearsay to understand what happened. But the main issue I have with this case is an apparent double standard. How do rumors of wrongdoing trump two DUI's, driving on a suspended license, violating probation and jail time?

Because all guys have experienced aggrevated assualt toward a female rumors. That he had put himself in a position to be rumored about was enough to send him packing. The B12 has a history of football players beating up their women, I'm sure he'll find quiet comfort in Norman.
