I was at Happy Valley for the first time this past weekend. Arrived Friday afternoon in the RV lot. The worst I saw was a Penn St. fan dressed in a Philly Flyers hockey jersey throw an empty beer can at UM RV playing The Victors. Immediately, the Flyer fan was "handled" by other Penn St. fans. Dressed in UM gear all weekend long, all of the Penn St. fans I encountered approached me with the same question/remark...."Hope/Are you are enjoying your experience here". Even while downtown Friday night, I had no issues with students who were obviously celebrating Halloween pretty hard. There are bad apples in every fan base. Don't let this one bad story sway your opinion of a very pleasant experience I had in Happy Valley.

Although these type of incidents are uncommon, it's still VERY disturbing when they do. Obviously, excessive alcohol is almost always a big factor. And these night games at places like Penn State are potentially more dangerous because the drinking has been going on all day. Basically, the later the game time, the worse these kind of problems are. I really hope our stadiums don't become like the soccer venues in Europe. If they do, I'll have to stop going to the games.

I would not have expected this to happen at PSU (whereas at OSU it would seem the norm). Whenever I'm in PA (which is several times a year), I proactively tell folks how pleased I am that PSU is in the Big 10 because of how friendly and fine their fans are when they are here. I guess no school can control everyone, but I hope PSU seriously punishes these four to reinforce its good fans image.

Maybe the PSU fan was Robbie Webb which would explain why he has suddenly disappeared from around here?

Holy cow, they beat us by ten points and this happens. What would happen if we had won by ten points. I always wanted to go see a game at Happey Valley, but not any more. I guess it should be called Unhappy Valley now.

I hope they have pressed charges on these idiots and land them all in jail on assault charges. Inexcusable.
