Joel, your absolutely right, Purdue beat us last yr. but that was last year and you know Joel that the difference of one year in college football is like the difference between night and day.

Wow, the predictions on this page are precise - even proclaiming when the points will be scored in some cases. Here's another prediction that is absolutely as good as any other on this page: UM wins on a safety with.03 left in the 4th quarter. 9-7. UM's only touchdown comes on a run by Jack Kennedy who is in for one play while D Rob is taking a rest late in the second quarter.

Michigan has hardly won at ND over the last 30 years. RR's record overall has been abysmal, and away from home, even worse. They are starting a QB who has never been at ND before, and who had one good game last week (outstanding game) and many bad performances last year. Weird things happen at ND, particularly for first time starters. Based on all the historical performances, that bodes poorly for Michigan. If Michigan can establish a running game while putting pressure on the ND offensive line and QB, they win. Otherwise, I think they lose a close game by a fourth quarter field goal.

Key to Michigan's season is a healthy offensive line - no matter who's at QB. Still see 8, maybe 9 wins on the board. But unfortunately this week won't be one of them. Strange things always happen in this series and in the end the home team usually prospers. Either way I won't miss a single down. GO BLUE!

Just a little history lesson for all you as you seem to be forgetting; Purdue beat you at home last season. This "weak" Big Ten team was better than the WORST Big Ten team. ND's result with Purdue has no bearing on how the WORST Big Ten team will fair this weekend. I look for it to be an entertaining and close game. In a perfect world, both teams would lose, but we aren't quite there yet...

Did you guys even watch the Purdue game? Notre Dame did not exactly stomp a very weak Big Ten team. In fact, at times they looked very shaky. There is way too much emphasis being made about Michigan's "unproven" defense and "young" secondary. You're talking about the wrong Floyd. J.T. Floyd is going to end up being the play-maker of the game - 2 picks. MICH 24 ND 20

Was this the entire conversation in this video clip?...or just part of it. Just curious because our boy Rothstein spends the entire time bashing UM and glorifying Floyd and the domers. I think both teams will show us why they are the number five game on the college football slate this week, but in the end D Rob, and Michigans ability to execute their scheme will spell a one point Michigan victory...the Irish are not there yet. UM 31 ND 30.

@MikeB I love nebulous, meaningless commentary like, "the UM defense is a little more focused." I must have missed the interview where Roh said, "Yeah, last year sometimes I'd be getting ready for a play, and then I'd see this cheerleader on the sideline. You know, really cute cheerleader. And I'd think, 'That's a hot cheerleader.' And the next thing I knew someone was running past me with the football. But not THIS year..." Anyway, both teams do have questions on defense, but a comparison of the front 7 (or 6 for you?) is comparable, and I think most people would give the edge to ND. Even if focused like a friggin' laser beam, your secondary is thin and inexperienced. Crist looked timid last week and certainly didn't have the touch of Clausen. Now, Purdue annoys me as much as they annoy anyone, but I must admit that Kerrigan is a beast, and he was bringing pressure from the beginning. You don't have a playmaker like that up front on defense, and I think it will give Crist more time and confidence. In terms of substantial improvement on offense, look no further than our running game. I actually think ND will put an emphasis on the run at the beginning, and if that's successful your D will be focused on the backs of a lot of ND players. I think this is going to be a great game, but predictions of ND scoring only 14 or 17 points are made by people who overestimate the talent of Zach Frazer and the UConn receivers. Unless we start turning the ball over, I'd put the under for us at 24 and predict a few turnovers on your side. ND 33 UM 24 Go Irish.

This game really doesn't worry me. I truly believe, as do some others on here apparently, that UM's experience both in it's players and in the years of the coaches with the team, that Michigan should win rather easily. ND's offensive players are good, but they will make costly mistakes in their new system just like they did last week against Purdue and like Michigan did for 2 years prior to this. Also, ND's defense is slow and Robinson will run circles around them. UM 38 ND 20.

Back to reality this week. The D still stinks: Michigan 27 Notre Dame 38 M Floyd gets over 200 yards receiving.

It will be close enough the home field advantage will have an effect. 24-21 ND.

The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is the way Mike fawns over the Irish. At least try to sound like ND isn't your favorite team.

I predict as always, a good, hard hitting, entertaining game. I also predict win or lose our coach RR will show this teams improvement. Now our complainers want a loss to show that RR can't win with his system I think they've lost touch with what Michigan football is all about, what a shame.

Last year ND had a better offense. This year the UM offense is (in my opinion) substantially better than it was last year, everyone has more experience. Last year both teams had shaky defenses, but this year the UM defense is a little more focused and the ND defense is a question mark. Coaches, a slight edge to Kelly but Rodriquez has more experience with his team and can more easily make adjustments. UM wins 34-17 Oh, 3 And Out, your predictions are, well predictable. As to making snide comments about the reporters hair - are you channeling Bobby Knight?

Michael Rothstein, Dyane Crists favorite target is the marching band not Michael Floyd. Unless the marching band is an eligible receiver Michigan can win the air war. Both teams I think are going to try to shut down the running game, Michigan has the better running quarterback, offensive, and defensive lines, they should win this battle. If both teams challenge the other to pass and both have a soft secondary, I think your predicted score is low, Michigan wins 34 to 42.
