Running back recruit Dee Hart delays his college decision until tonight, still between Michigan and Alabama

By Pete Bigelow

Michigan will have to wait for Dee Hart's decision for a few more hours.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the prized high school running back has canceled his noon press conference, and won't make an announcement about his college choice until after tonight's game.

Nothing else has changed. He's still leaning toward Alabama.

"Real high on Alabama. Roll Tide," he texted a reporter. Full the full story from the Orlando Sentinel, click here.

Dee Hart, Welcome to Michigan! The great state of Florida is changing Michigan for the better. We had another kid from New York a few years back named Hart and he left here the all time leading rusher. Let's hope you find that same kind of success. Congratulation to you and your family on a fantastic choice and GO BLUE!

Dee Hart with D-Rob will be an unstoppable dynamic duo in the backfield. Plus Dee gets a degree from a school that is light years ahead of Alabammy. You have a home waiting for you Dee, and it's in Ann Arbor... Go Blue!!

There is no suspense here... the kid is already a silent Michigan commit.

Would be a great pick up and would love to get him, but I'm a lot more concerned about the defense than having another RB when we already have 6 young guys.

I hope we get this kid cause our running backs stink. Shaw just dances around back there and smith just gets nowhere most of the time. I was pretty annoyed they didn't give cox a try when during camp he was the hardest to tackle. He's about 40 pounds heavier then smith and ripped. Don't understand it. Another is Thomas Rawls from flint. Heard he's a beast and is breaking Mark ingrahms records at the same school. His coach, Fred Jacksons son.bonus!!.hopefully we land him and some big time Defense players.

Sean T. As Mr. Harbaugh said... UM football program doesn't strive to give it's players a top rate education. They push them into easier programs, so they can concentrate on football. Since I'm regularly told to take the word of former players... I guess I should believe Harbaugh.

That was pretty rude Papabear. The kid seems to be a class-act and the best in the country at what he does. Hart's choice will depend on whether he values his education more than going to the NFL. Saban always uses multiple back sets and RR does as well. (Since being in AA) If he has dreams of a NFL payday and a closer road to travel for a NCAA Championship then he will probably choose Bama. If he wants to be part of a program that "may" be on the uprise and has a top-rate education then he'll come here. We all know that Michigan produces top level NFL players but RR has only two in the league. Let's hope he comes to AA!

I also disagree with Papabear151's misinformed comment about Hart's personality. I've read a lot about Dee Hart and everything I've seen indicates he's a good, humble, well-grounded person. Hopefully, he'll stick with his "heart" and choose Michigan tonight. It will be nice to have another running back named Hart again.

@papabear, i think you assessment of DHart is not correct. this kid is a well grounded, hard working, and humble person. he is almost the same mold as DRob when it comes to humility. the REASON he cancelled his noon press conference..... so it would not take any of the spotlight away from his game tonight. that would suggest to me that he is all about TEAM TEAM TEAM.

the orlando sentinel is about as credible as the fr33p. tomvh @mgoblog is very confident as well as sect6 at rivals.com. i will go w/ those "INSIDERS"....not to mention sam webbb @wtka and of course.... his facebook message to ricardo miller that he is blue.... look for RR to pull in some more of DH teammates including ha ha....

It would be a real shame if he went to Alabama, especially after all the work the coaches and staff put in to convince him Michigan is the best place to be for him. He seems to fit in better with the Michigan offense and has a MUCH better opportunity to play right away. Alabama has two great backs (Ingram and Richardson) coming back next year. The latter is only a freshman this year too and looks to be even better than Ingram down the road. Saban is very slick and will say just about anything to get kids to come to his school. He's good at it. But recent stories in the news seem to indicate that reality at Alabama doesn't always live up to Saban's promises. I hope Dee decides on Michigan. Go Blue!

Interesting because according to experts he is leaning towards Michigan. He also had sent a text to Ricardo Miller stating "ready to take on the world.... Go ****" which most think is Go Blue. Interesting article in the sentinel because the meat of the story is after a video on the bottom of the screen and on page 2, Im curious why they didnt start with that.

If he rolls with the tide, sweet vindication and revenge for Saban, who never could quite get the best of his rivals in Ann Arbor when he was up here (although he did post a respectable 2-3 record vs. the Wolves)
