By AnnArbor.com Staff

Four schools have changed conferences so far in NCAA realignment. Which conference do you think has made out best so far?

I am really looking forward to this football season...... Rich Rod and the Wolverines are gonna put a sock in the collective mouths of these haters. The alternative will probably be RR getting terminated at the end of the season. So after taking the later into consideration I would say the odds are with Michigan doing the smack talking on the field. Sorry all you haters Michigan will rule the field this fall!!!!!

Not the old "SEC SPEED" fable again. LOL,LOL,LOL! The SEC has 4 to 5 good teams every year just like the Big Ten and that's been the same for over a decade.

The spread offense was in place at Nwestern, but RR will also bring Michigan into the 21st cetury. I isn't easy, but when complete, UM and RR, will dominate the league and college football.

heartbreakM you go ahead and have a good laugh son everyone deserves a good laugh heartbreakM and that includes you however, I gotta agree with Tater on this one cause I'm a, how is it, "slappy" Wolverine fan. Ya, RR is bringing speed to our 10 and when he gets this thing balanced I think even a laughing kind of person like you heartbreakM is gonna love the new style hell, I already do. There are some of us that really get what RR is doing here. I think there are some that don't get it becuase they only see the score and not the rebuilding process and then there are the complainers who get it but don't care to admit it and you ask why well I'll tell you why, because they are habitual complainers.

Tater: I can't even respond because I'm laughing too much. RR and his influence are making the B10 faster? Huh? Michigan in 2 years of RR has looked more confused, more out of position, more poorly coached, and actually slower than they have looked in years, perhaps since the 1992 Rose Bowl shellacking against Washington. They actually looked better coached in that game than any time in the last 2 years, except for the last drive against ND last year, and last drive against MSU in regulation (though play up to that point....) SEC may not be the best, you are right, but I would not credit RR with making the B10 anything except happy, now that he brought Michigan down to Northwestern of 1980s level.

Tater- the only thing RR is making faster is Michigan's fall to the bottom of the Big Ten. The Big Ten, including Michigan, has been getting third and fourth tier players for years now from sun belt states, who benefit from year round outdoor practices, and a rabid football culture (witness the high school in Texas that just built a stadium half of the D1 schools would be jealous of) Dream on Tater. I'll just enjoy plodding, (or in the case of Michigan and Northwestern) gimmick football from the Big Ten.

I think the Big 10 was already competitive against the SEC from top to bottom. What skewed the results in the eyes of the nation was twofold. First, OSU got bombed by both Florida and LSU in spotlight national championship games. I think LSU was simply better, while I think OSU went into the Florida game thinking they had it in the bag and were shellshocked to learn they were wrong. Second, the Big Ten frequently pits lower finishing teams against higher finishing SEC teams (ie B10 4 vs SEC 3, etc) which skews the outcomes of those games. On top of that, the B10 has actually done quite well against the SEC outside those NC games, case in point Michigan dominating the SEC (Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida twice) in bowl games while Iowa and Wisconsin have also won their share. Where the B10 truly suffered was in Rose Bowls where, let's face it, anyone including SEC and some NFL (kidding) teams would have suffered against the Trojan machine of the last 10 years. With the B10 adding an extremely tough, hard nosed Nebraska program, the conference will only improve and will compete with anyone at any level.

We are still in the Big Ten. Hurrah!
