Michigan should be better, but the stability of the still-too-young defense remains to be seen. I like the offense and I think RR is loading up really well there, he just needs to develop the D. As for firing him, that is the worst idea out there. Yes, he's had some terrible years, but what did you expect with an outgoing coach who didn't recruit well for the last 3 years of his tenure and a system change with the new regime? This was inevitable. Just be patient and things will get better.

Voice, I see no long term future with Rich Rod. The number of "firsts" he has accomplished include: 1. Breaking of bowl streak 2. First loss to a MAC team 3. 3 big 10 wins in 2 years 4. NCAA violations. He will not win this year, the defense was ranked last in the Big 10 last year with 2 NFL players. They will be worse on defense this year.

@ Terry Starr 21-I don't know what you were drinking while watching UM football last year, but it wasn't one play that decided most of the games- it was 3, 4 or 5 bad plays!

Great for the Big Ten, everyone is taking baby steps to be better, fortunately UM Football is taking giant steps and will pass them all... Michigan will not fire Rich Rod... that word is not in the UM FB vocabulary... the King and the King's men will put it all together, instead of one bad play making the difference in a game, one good play will make the difference - Michigan Football Lives. UM Football - 8........ Rest of Big Ten - 0.

Braggs, And how will firing the coach accomplish that? Do you really want to take a ride on the Notre Dame "Coaching Carousel"?

The only thing that will make Michigan better is to fire Rich Rod

I agree that that OSU and Wisconsin are outstanding, loaded teams coming into next season. PSU and Iowa have a lot of upside, but it remains to be seen how good PSU's new QB (probably Newsome) will be and if Iowa can maintain what they did last season. As for producing a national championship caliber team, I disagree with saginaw. OSU, like them or not, is a contender. Pryor is back (and yes, he finished VERY strong last year), OSU is superb on D, Tressel's an outstanding coach, and OSU crushed a very good Oregon team in the Rose Bowl. Personally, I like the fact that OSU is good because it sets the bar high as to what Michigan needs to get back to. Remember, that is the goal...not 9-4 and a Champs Sports Bowl.

Sure looks stacked at the top with Iowa, Wisc, PSU and OSU. Unfortunately both Michigan & MSU fighting for middle of the pack. MSU I believe is better

Yes, the Big Ten is improving in Football. But, we are now where near producing a national championship caliber team.
