The Michigan and Michigan State football teams seem to be two squads heading in opposite directions.

Embattled early in the season, the Wolverines seem to have figured out what ailed them and look as strong as ever. The Spartans, in contrast, started the season with more hype and momentum than any other Big Ten team, but have struggled mightily to live up to those lofty expectations.

Las Vegas had Michigan as an 11-point favorite earlier in the week and though the money has shifted a bit since them, Michigan football writer Kyle Meinke still has the Wolverines winning 24-13 on Saturday. Meinke's MLive.com colleague Josh Slagter, who covers the Spartans, showed the company is full of diverse minds with differing viewpoints and picked Michigan to win 24-14.

But the real the question is, who ya got?

To regain respect and assure who is dominant, Michigan needs to apply a real whuppin.' A loss or close game is bad. MSU is just not a good team. They had a run due to a low point for Michigan and schedule favoritism, but it is over. We need to show that while Big brother was out of town, little bro misbehaved and needs a whuppin. If MSU wins I will wear green to work one day next week.

I am a former Spartan athlete, coach, prof, student, parent, and whatever. But, I fear Spartans' run ends tomorrow. How unfortunate, in that I was waiting to see how many consecutive victories were required to become a rival of U of M.
