Whose absence from Michigan Stadium on Saturday are you most thankful for?

By AnnArbor.com Staff

On Thanksgiving Day, we thought we’d give Michigan football fans a chance to share what they’re thankful for.

More specifically, who you’re most thankful will not be in Michigan Stadium when the Wolverines host Ohio State on Saturday (noon, ABC).

Your options, in alphabetical order:

Urban Meyer: He may be Ohio State’s coach next season. Or maybe not. Or he may be. Or maybe not. He’s certainly not going to be the Buckeyes’ coach this year.

Terrelle Pryor: The former Ohio State quarterback was 3-0 against Michigan, completing 32-of-57 passes for 407 yards and five touchdowns and running 39 times for 116 yards.

Greg Robinson: The former Michigan defensive coordinator’s unit gave up 478 yards against Ohio State last season, which pushed the Wolverines deeper down the national (110th of 120 teams) and Big Ten (11th of 11) defensive rankings.

Rich Rodriguez: The former Michigan coach was a combined 0-6 against Michigan State and Ohio State. His teams were outscored 100-24 by the Buckeyes.

Jim Tressel: The former Ohio State coach was 8-1 against Michigan, leading the Buckeyes to wins in the last seven meetings. (The 2010 win was vacated.)

P.Q. Wong. He was the senior last year that dotted the I in Ohio. Darn him for going 4-0 against Michigan.

Thank you. I don't know who writes these, but it's like a junior college paper gone bad...and maybe that's giving it too much credit

I think our defense could handle Pryor better this year... glad our coaching staff is better!

Nope. Wish he were still here. Only M-S-Moooooooooooooo fans revel in victories over teams when they are down. True Michigan fans want to beat the stuffing out of a good tosu team. GN&GL

Wow -- seriously?.... This is probably the single most offensive poll this website has created yet. Happy voting to all the sour sports, schadenfreude-filled "fans", and anyone else who wastes even a second clicking on any of the poll responses. What happened to the word "respect" when it comes to being a michigan fan...

"Just for fun" doesn't mean mocking other people who worked hard to represent Mchigan.

Oh calm down. It's just for fun. If you are a devoted fan, you can certainly appreciate certain poisonous elements not being present this Saturday. GO BLUE!

Thinking of his best interest, I vote for Bo Pelini because I wouldn't want to have him hallucinate about faked Wolverine injuries.

This is a no brainer, and it's actually a two for one (former coach and former "d-coordinator" though I have to put it in quotes because I'm not sure what they had qualifies for defense). It's Thanksgiving and I wish everybody a great holiday, and now that former coach has a job, hopefully we can put our dismay to rest (though I don't know about that....). Thank goodness we have a great coaching staff, a team with character, and a university to be proud of.

It's the WCiMfH! With him gone it's a "twofer". No rr, no grob. Win-win! Happy Thanksgiving to all. You are Michigan. This is Michigam. Go Blue!

Oh my goodness ... you're just TRYING to stir up trouble, aren't you? ;-) Where in the heck is Greg Robinson? I've Googled around and no sign of him. Michigan's defense last year was laughable, but I've often wondered how much of that truly fell on Greg Robinson's shoulders. Aside from the 3-3-5 pushed on him by Rodriguez, I wonder how much Rodriguez pushed defense aside when it came to recruiting time and slot allocations. One person I wish WASN'T absent from Michigan Stadium ... me! Sadly, I'll be in Arizona. Happily, HDTV is wonderful.
