The University of Michigan ranks fourth among Football Bowl Subdivision schools in revenue, the Orlando Sentinel reported as part of a six-part series on economics and college athletics Tuesday.

The Wolverines brought in $99,027,105 in 2007-08, the second-highest Big Ten school on the list.

And even in revenue, Michigan can't beat Ohio State.

The Buckeyes are second on the list at $117,953,712. First is Texas ($120,288,370) and third is Florida ($106,030,895).

The Big Ten and SEC dominated with four teams each. From the Big Ten were No. 2 Ohio State, No. 4 Michigan, No. 5 Wisconsin ($93,452,334) and No. 6 Penn State ($91,570,233).

The SEC had No. 3 Florida, No. 7 Auburn ($89,305,326), No. 8 Alabama ($88,869,810) and No. 9 Tennessee ($88,719,798).

Among other Michigan opponents, Notre Dame was 14th ($83,352,439) and Eastern Michigan was 98th ($19,341,287).
