Workers at Yost Ice Arena prepare the new scoreboard Friday. The scoreboard has nine LED video displays and will be hung over the center of the ice.

The Yost scoreboard is one of four new scoreboards that are being installed by TS Sports out of Dallas. Michigan Stadium will have two new scoreboards installed before the 2011 season, one in each end zone. They will be 40 percent larger than the old ones. The new Crisler Arena scoreboard will have 14 LED video displays.

Isn't the new scoreboard going to be in the way of the hockey players?

Long overdue and highly anticipated, but where's the ninth? I can see 8 screens, but is there really a screen on the bottom?

Guessing that might be the ninth screen.
