Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are warning residents that calls from individuals claiming to be fundraising on behalf of the sheriff's department aren't legitimate. A Bridgewater Township resident told police a caller who identified himself as a sheriff's deputy named "Leonard" asked for donations for needy kids.

A missing Bridgewater Township man was found dead today in Freedom Township, a Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department news release said.There are no signs of foul play, but the death remains under investigation, the release said.

No cause yet known in death of Bridgewater Township woman

Washtenaw County Medical Examiner Bader Cassin has not yet determined what caused the death of a Bridgewater Township woman last week, but said he suspects it was related to exposure to the cold. Toxicology results may not be available for one to three weeks, Cassin said this morning.

Missing Bridgewater Township woman found dead

A woman reported missing Saturday was found dead this afternoon in a wooded area behind her Bridgewater Township home, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said. Investigators say they found no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy has not yet been performed.

Bridgewater Township woman reported missing

Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are looking for a Bridgewater Township woman who has been reported missing. Anna-Maria Wheeker was last seen on Kies Road about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies said.
