My last birthday (and its somewhat regrettable aftermath) was one of the more memorable of my life. Appropriate, since it was the last birthday of my twenties. When my next birthday rolls around, I will be my mother’s age.

The University of Michigan ranks fourth among Football Bowl Subdivision schools in revenue, the Orlando Sentinel reported as part of a six-part series on economics and college athletics Tuesday. The Wolverines brought in $99,027,105 in 2007-08, the second-highest Big Ten school on the list.
