Big and biting: Gallinipper mosquitoes are here

Those enormous mosquitoes spotted around Washtenaw County are gallinippers. With a half-inch long body and even longer legs - hairy ones with white bands - the insect would easily cover a quarter. If that's not bad enough, scientists say it's aggressive when pursuing its blood meal, and it loves to bite during the day.
