The Willow Run school district expects to end this school year with $300,000 less than projected, leading to an increase in the district's deficit. But school board members and administrators expressed optimism during Thursday night’s board meeting that the district may be finally turning around financially.
Willow Run school officials are hoping a new summer partnership with Washtenaw Community College is the start of bigger things. Board Trustee Clifford Smith also suggested the Willow Run middle and high school complex could one day be used to house an eastern campus of the community college.
