Ypsilanti man faces child abuse charges

An Ypsilanti man accused of beating two juvenile relatives as a means of discipline remains jailed on a $50,000 cash or surety bond, jail officials said Thursday afternoon. Charles Earl Chism, 34, was arraigned Wednesday at the Washtenaw County Jail on charges of third-degree child abuse and fourth-degree child abuse.

Former WISD aide pleads no contest to assault charge for slapping special education student
