Free electronic waste recycling event for businesses and individuals planned for Earth Day
The annual Earth Day recycling event in 2007 collected mountains of outmoded computer equipment too toxic for disposal in the regular trash.

The University of Michigan's Climate Savers group is sponsoring two free electronic waste recycling events for Earth Day.  This is part of an extended program of Earth Day events sponsored by the University of Michigan, which is celebrating the 40th anniversary of this annual event to raise environmental consciousness.  Earth Day traces it origins locally to the  first teach-ins on the University of Michigan campus in March, 1970.Â
Institutions and corporations can participate in the Institutional eWaste Event, scheduled for Thursday, April 22, and Friday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, 1819 South Wagner Road in Ann Arbor. Preregistration is requested. The event is only intended for large volume recycling drop-off scheduling for schools, government, small and medium business and non-profits.
The public is invited to a Public eWaste Event, scheduled for Saturday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pioneer High School, 601 W. Stadium Blvd. in Ann Arbor. No registration is required, but come early to avoid long lines.

Is there a contact number available? I have a projector I would like to dispose of... and the site doesn't include projectors either on the "accepted" or "not accepted" list.
