Detectives search for missing mother and 2 children

Police are searching for a 29-year-old Ypsilanti Township mother and her two children who went missing this week. Alisha Martinez, 29, was last seen by her boyfriend Tuesday morning at their home near the 3000 block of E. Michigan Avenue, according to Sgt. Geoffrey Fox of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office.

A man was burned over 30 percent of his body trying to put out a kitchen fire in his apartment, and a resident of an adjacent apartment suffered minor injuries when she jumped out a window to escape Tuesday afternoon in Ypsilanti, firefighters said.
