The contest was extended for one week due to some issues with Facebook Connect which compromised voting functionality. Throughout the contest various contenders moved into the top positions, but going into the second week of voting this was clearly a close contest between Balance Massage Therapy and The Relax Station. By the end of the contest, Balance Massage Therapy finished in the No. 1 position with 233 votes. Relax Station trailed by just nine votes finishing in the No. 2 position with 224 votes. Fran Coy’s Salon & Spa finished in third place with 48 votes.

Best gym voting began last Sunday and ended at 11:50 p.m. Saturday. As the contest heated up in the latter part of the week, this became a duel between Joust Fitness and Hyperfit USA. By the end of the contest, Joust Fitness finished in the No. 1 position with 302 votes. Hyperfit USA trailed by just 14 votes finishing in the No. 2 position with 288 votes. Vie Fitness & Spa also had strong community support finishing the contest in third place with 113 votes. This week, we vote for the best townie hangout in Washtenaw County.
