Cafe du Jour, which served countless sit-down and to-go lunches to downtown Ann Arbor workers over the past several years, has closed.

As sign on the door of the restaurant at 117 W. Washington St. Friday said the restaurant had closed due to economic conditions.

The restaurant was operated by Dan Massey, who took over from Tiffany Lynn Salsini in 2008. Salsini operated the restaurant for eight years. Massey couldn't be reached for comment.
