People & Achievements in the greater Ann Arbor area, including the Michigan Chamber and Domino's Pizza

The following is a list of achievements by businesses and individuals in the Ann Arbor area:

• Dan Brady, consumer marketing manager at NuStep Inc. in Ann Arbor, and Wendy Brightman, managing director at Ele's Place in Ann Arbor, have been accepted into the 2010 class of Leadership Michigan, a program of the Michigan Chamber Foundation. Brady and Brightman are one of only 23 professionals from across the state that received admittance into this year’s program, which will be held throughout Michigan from April through October.

• Ann Arbor-based Domino’s Pizza opened its 9,000th store March 11. To celebrate, the company conducted symbolic opening events at two stores a world apart: the first in New Delhi, India’s thriving capital city, and the second in New Orleans, in a neighborhood rebuilding itself after being ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

• The University of Michigan Medical School has appointed Dr. Gregory Dalack associate professor of psychiatry, as the new chair of the Department of Psychiatry, pending approval by the regents. In related news, to fill two vacancies, Margaret Marchak and David Masson were appointed associate vice president and deputy general counsel in the University of Michigan Office of the Vice President and General Counsel, also pending approval by the board of regents in a meeting today.

• Saline-based Latitude Learning, provider of open-source learning management system LatitudeLearning.com, announced March 9 it will exhibit at the Learning Solutions conference and expo March 24-26, in Orlando, Fla. Latitude Learning will provide in-booth demonstrations of the open-source learning management system portal, now available to training companies on an on-demand basis to host their proprietary learning classes and manage student records.

• Eight Realtors from Prudential Snyder & Company Realtors in Ann Arbor have earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification: Sara Maddock, Agusta Gunnarsdottir, John Clark, Nancy Clark, Tom Kmet, Renee Badall, Victoria Evans and Paul Evans.

• Ingenex, an Internet marketing, web design and search optimization agency based in Ann Arbor, launched its new custom designed Drupal Web site. The Ingenex Digital Web site offers easy access to Ingenex online internet marketing services and uses live social media feeds from the Ingenex Twitter and digital marketing blog sites.

• The Center for Information Management Inc., an Ann Arbor-based provider of information systems and services for organizations caring for older adults, signed an exclusive agreement to create and support Web-based software tools for “COLLAGE, the Art & Science of Healthy Aging," a group of organizations providing services to the aging.

• Ross Medical Education Center, based in St. Clair, with 17 campus locations throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, recently announced promotions and new hires at several of its Michigan campuses. Among the promotions was Erin Hooks, promoted to assistant campus director at the center's 4741 Washtenaw Ave. location. Hooks lives in Brighton.

• Advanced Photonix Inc., headquartered in Ann Arbor, hired John J. Riccardi for the new position of national sales account manager for the company's Terahertz product platform, effective March 1.
