Ann Arbor resident Trilbe Wynne wraps up appearance on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'

Trilbe Wynne of Ann Arbor concluded her two-day appearance on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" this morning.

Wynne, a University of Michigan graduate student, first appeared on Tuesday's show, answering three questions correctly and building up a bank of $11,100.

She started strong today, answering two questions correctly with no lifelines used. But she had to "jump," or skip, a couple of questions before coming up against a final stumper. She elected to walk away with $20,050 in winnings — and was glad to do so.

A: Meet the Press B: Today C: The Tonight Show D: Face the Nation Wynne elected to jump the question, losing out on a potential $25,000. The correct answer was A. Question #7: Category, 'Book & Lyrics' With references to Gollum and Mordor, the Led Zeppelin song “Ramble On” is an homage to what fantasy book series? A: Dune B: A Wrinkle in Time C: The Chronicles of Narnia D: Lord of the Rings Wynne knew the correct answer was D, adding $2,000 and taking her to $35,100. Question #8: Category, 'Scammer Grammar' The Federal Trade Commission uses the term “dot con” to refer to a consumer scam that is perpetrated how? A: Over the phone B: On the Internet C: In the workplace D: Through the mail Wynne correctly answered B for $5,000, taking her up to $40,100. Question #9: Category, 'Trademarks' In advertising circles, the trademark wavy white line that appears on Coke products is known as the what? A: Snaked flourish B: Flexed twist C: Dynamic ribbon D: Twining curl Wynne elected to jump this question. The correct answer was C. Question #10: Category, 'Amazing Feats' A quadruple amputee named Philippe Croizon made headlines in 2010 when he did what inspirational athletic feat? A: Climbed Mount Everest B: Sailed around the world C: Biked the Tour de France D: Swam the English Channel The correct answer was D, but out of lifelines and unsure of the answer, Wynne elected to walk away at this point. Since she was still in the first round, she kept half her $40,100 winnings. (If she had guessed incorrectly, she would have fallen back to $1,000.)
