Ann Arbor Summer Festival's fundraiser Big Top Revue 3 coming to Gratzi

By AnnArbor.com Staff

On Tuesday, Febr. 21 at Gratzi, the Ann Arbor Summer Festival will present the Big Top Revue 3, a night of roaring 1920s revelry.

This year's winter benefit has a speakeasy theme to it, boasting vintage jazz and electro-swing music, tap and Charleston dancers, gangsters and flapper girls, silent movie clips, and a little vaudeville sideshow.

Tickets are $150 per person, or $1,500 for a corporate table of eight. For reservations, call 734-994-5999, or purchase online at www.A2SF.org.

Gratzi provides an appropriate backdrop, being housed in the former Orpheum Theater, a 1920s movie palace. Glimpses of the venue’s former glory will be on display, along with plenty of music, hoofers, and showgirls, all to support the festival’s admission-free concert and movie series at Top of the Park.

A cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m., with passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a seated dinner at 7 p.m., with a specially created three-course menu, paired with fine wines, along with strolling and stage entertainment. Following dessert, guests are invited to linger for coffee, conversation and more late-night follies.

The AASF is an exhilarating celebration of performing arts, outdoor entertainment, and community spirit. A boutique music and arts festival, the three-week gathering offers an array of ticketed and free events, both indoors and out, featuring a progressive mix of local, national, and international artists.

The festival’s 29th season runs from June 15-July 8. The festival’s full season will be announced in the coming months.
