This article contains updated information.

Fans of live bluegrass/newgrass music have, for the past three years, made Wednesday Bluegrass nights at The Cavern Club's Circus a local favorite weekly event that's happened on Wednesday nights. But now, Live at PJ's, at 102 S. First St., has announced the launch of its own bluegrass night lineup on Wednesdays, too.

Live's schedule kicks off this Wednesday, June 16, when the "gypsy-swing" band Caravan of Thieves takes the stage.

Other acts appearing on Live at PJ's schedule are: Seth Bernard and Friends on June 23; Wayward Roots on June 30; The Triumphant Return of the Bearded Ladies on July 7; The Northern Skies on July 14; Lonesome County on July 21; and The Chapmans on July 28.

The music starts at Live at 10 p.m., and the cover for those 21 and older is $2, while those age 18-20 pay $5. A food menu is available until 4 a.m. For more information, call 734-623-1443, or visit http://www.liveandgracies.com/.

The Cavern Club's Circus, meanwhile, will feature Company of Strangers on June 16; Cincinnati's Rumpke Mountain Boys on June 23; and Company of Strangers again on June 30.

Why is it moving? I thought the guy who owed Circus (Nick?) was the one that booked it.

It never started much before 10 at the Circus either. Glad to see it continuing. It's been going at the Circus for awhile, and a bit of a change can't hurt.

I'll miss Bluegrass at Circus it was a cool atmosphere. Live at PJ's doesn't have the same vibe, it's more of a place my girlfriend likes to get dressed up in her hottest outfit and visit. not that there is anything wrong with that, just 2 different places.
