ABC schedule includes Detroit cop show; Hank Jones remembered; and more

Michael Imperioli, center, leads the cast of "Detroit 1-8-7."
ABC
The TV networks continue to announce their fall schedules, with ABC's turn coming this morning. EW.com has a full rundown, including the fact that 10 p.m. Tuesday will be the home for "Detroit 1-8-7," a drama about a homicide unit starring Michael Imperioli (Christopher on "The Sopranos"). It's not clear how much, if any, filming will be done in Detroit.
Time.com's TV blog has some further information, though it comes in the verbiage of network self-promotion. (The show will have "hearbreak and heroism." And apparently Imperioli's character is "damaged but driven.") Meanwhile, NYmag notes that the series is getting "NYPD Blue"'s old time slot.
