'Five Year Engagement' filming at U-M's Rackham Building, scheduled to film at Jefferson Market & Cakery

Ann Zalucki, associate director of the University of Michigan Film Office, was on site at Rackham and confirmed that the "Engagement" crew had been working on campus for the past week, and that additional campus locations would be featured in the film in the future (though she could not provide specifics).
"They've been great to work with," said Zalucki of the "Engagement" crew.
As for today's filming, Zalucki noted that it was happening inside the Rackham Building, but the selected locations did not include the building's auditorium.
Meanwhile, Drunken Pig Productions, LLC — the film company that's shooting "Engagement," according to the Michigan Film Office website — filed an application for traffic detours or lane closures with the city of Ann Arbor for Friday, June 3, as well as Monday-Wednesday, June 6-8.
The application requests that the eastbound side of West Jefferson, between Fourth and Fifth streets, be reserved on these dates for truck parking, between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., in order to facilitate filming at the Jefferson Market and Cakery.

They are also going to be filming on Washington Street just north of michigan ave. They have covered Washington with fake snow and the people there said they had more prep to do., putting snow on buildings etc. they will be doing a car chase scene that is going to apparently fly around the corner of Deja Vu and come past the marque. Also going to be filming on Huron south of michigan ave. This is being loaded with flowers as a stand in for california. Not sure exactly what they will film there. It sounds like most of the filming will be tomorrow, some in the evening. It should be a fun event to observe

I just drove pat S. Huron and was surprised at all the activity. I'm glad they left us a lane open!

Bach school across the street from Jefferson Market has its ice cream social Friday night. Crowd control for 300 elementary school kids. That should be interesting...
