In the interest of full disclosure, I am in the wine and food business, as one of the owners of Morgan & York Fine Wines and Specialty Foods, on Packard Street in Ann Arbor. I have been in that business for eight years now, and in the specialty food business in Ann Arbor area since 1994. I also have been known to eat and drink.

My family and I live here in Ann Arbor, on the north side of town. Although I am not a native Ann Arborite, I have lived here since I came to U of M in 1988, which means I have lived here for 21 years, longer than I lived in my hometown of Ortonville, Michigan. That certainly makes Ann Arbor home to us. During my tenure at the University, there were as many as five Matt Morgans in Ann Arbor, but I am pleased to report I have outlasted them all.

I love to cook, especially for friends and family, and consider myself a reformed vegetarian. I try to spend as much time as I can afford on my mountain bike, to burn off some of the delicious meals we enjoy.
