Top places in Ann Arbor to watch the World Cup, drink beer

Enough local bars will feature the World Cup that soccer fans will be able to watch as many matches as they like, no matter their bar preferences, wallet size, neighborhood, or sleep cycle. Of course, the World Cup is four weeks long, so check out as many local bars as possible.

The Arena: Opens daily at 10 a.m., cheap bear including $3 pints of Amstel, daily lunch and diner specials, lots of TVs (including in the bathrooms).
Banfield's: Opens daily at 9:30 a.m., $6.75 pitchers of Labatt, daily food and drink specials, serious under the radar townie spot, 13 big screen and hi-def TVs.
Arbor Brewing Company: Opens daily at 11:30 a.m., 4-7 p.m. happy hour features local brews including $3 large beers and food specials, two TVs. Look out for World Cup-themed drinking games and giveaways.
Grizzly Peak: Opens daily at 11 a.m. (noon on Sundays), half-off beer during World Cup games, pitchers of beer from $8, daily food and drink specials featuring local beer, 7 TV's across two bars.
Conor O'Neill's: Opens for World Cup at 7 a.m., $5.50 breakfast special, daily drink specials, 13 TVs. Expect serious as well as casual soccer fans.
Fraser's Pub: Opens at 11 a.m. Monday-Friday, 8:30 weekends for breakfast, daily food and drink specials, serious townie spot, lots of big TVs.
The Brown Jug: Opens daily at 10 a.m., happy hour between 2-5pm features half-off appetizers and drink specials, indoor and outdoor TVs.
Cafe Felix: Open daily at 9 a.m., happy hour from 4-7 features $3 drafts and well drinks, daily food and drink specials, 2 flat screen TVs.
Good Time Charley's: Will show afternoon games, happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m. with $3 pitchers (yes, pitchers) of Miller Light/Labatt/Killians/PBR, $3 well drinks, 14 TVs.
Jolly Pumpkin: Opens daily at 11a.m. (noon on Sundays), lunch and dinner specials, features local beer.
