'Hilarity and Charity' uses laughter to help others

“A Night of Hilarity and Charity,” a program of the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor, combines laughter and philanthropy to support Jewish community life and provide a social safety net in Ann Arbor and globally through a broad network of nonprofit agencies.
The program, featuring the comedy duo Dave and Ethan, begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Live at PJs at 102 S. First St. in Ann Arbor. Dave Ahdoot and Ethan Fixell tour the country with their act as dating experts, employing horror-date reenactments, romantic songs, interactive exercises and instructive demonstrations as valuable lessons on how to attain “the perfect evening.”
A cash bar, kosher appetizers by Simply Scrumptious Catering and plenty of time to mix and make new friends fill out the evening.
The cost of the event is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. There will also be an opportunity to make a contribution to the Annual Campaign of the Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor.
The primary recipients of support locally are the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Services and Hebrew Day School. Globally, the primary recipients are the Joint Distribution Committee and the Jewish Agency for Israel. A complete list of organizations that benefit from the Annual Campaign can be found at the Jewish Federation website, www.jewishannarbor.org.
Ticket purchases can be made in advance on the Federation website or by contacting Cindy Adams at 734-677-0100 or cindy@jewishannarbor.org.
