Local singer-songwriter Jetty Rae has a new album out this week, and a fun new video to go along with it.

The album "Drowning in Grain" was released Tuesday. As detailed in a press release, the title is a line from her song "Alien." "In order to be different and unique you have to push against the grain, even when you feel like you're saturated in it," the announcement explains.

Furthering the concept is a photo shoot that can be seen on Facebook. Inspired by a blog called "The Daily Levitation," the photos show the performer "rising above"—one way to not drown in the grain, the announcement explains.
